white spot

I read recently that skin is our most ancient organ and closely related to this touch is the earliest evolving sense. With this begins the unborn child to communicate with the surrounding environment... physical sensations in the early stages of life are preserved in the nervous system, thus may define the further physical experiences... From this some experts conclude that "body memory" exists which is stored outside of the brain, in the "tissues". For this they take the example of bodily sensations, pain or other physical symptoms that appear on those parts of the body and skin surfaces where a trauma happened.

My artworks operate similarly to the surface of the skin. As I am touching: caressing, scratching them, they are turning into body memory while becoming the flesh of my sentiments, thoughts.

bulbs and reptiles

Eszter Kinga Deli, the cover designer of Illés Molnár's Reptiles and Bulbs volume presented collages made out of her drawings in the book launch. The technique is not accidental, it fits the poetry collection. Although in Kazimír Ház the colored pencil drawing, on which the cover is based, is not exhibited, it is interesting to note that it was made in January last year, as a remembrance of a dream, exatcly when Illés wrote the backbone poems of this (his first) volume. The now exhibited drawings were born in a similarly intimate environment, they are like pages torn out of a diary. Drawings of dreams, which as well as the poems reveal an inner world to us.
